Jasper can help you write in almost any language, giving you the flexibility to create content that fits your needs. There are a few simple ways to write in a different language using Jasper. First, you can set the Default Workspace Language in your workspace settings. This ensures all outputs are automatically generated in your preferred language across the entire workspace. The second option is to prompt Jasper during initial content creation. The third option is to prompt Jasper to translate your content.
Default Workspace Language
The Default Workspace Language option allows the Admin to set a standardized output language for the workspace.
How to Enable
- Navigate to Default Workspace Language in your workspace settings.
- Choose your language.
- Click Save.

Writing in a Different Language
If any of the following situations apply to you:
- You don’t want to change the Default Language for the entire workspace.
- You only need to use a different language temporarily.
- Your language isn’t supported as a Default Workspace Language.
Then we recommend using one of the following methods to write in a different language.
Changing Languages on the Project-level
You can change the language in the Project Settings. This allows you to write in the language of your choosing for all Assets within a project, without having to change the Default Workspace Language.
TIP: By changing the language in the Project Settings, it becomes the default for all Assets in the Project. You can always customize it further by changing the language at the App level. This flexibility ensures you’re in control and can tailor the experience to suit your specific needs.
Changing Languages on the App-level
You will see the option to change languages within each App in the App Settings section. This allows you to change the language for a single output without having to change the Default Workspace Language.
Prompting
When creating content outside of an app, be sure to include the translation command in your prompt. For instance, if you're generating content in Chat or using in-line prompting, add a clear instruction like, "Write this in Spanish" at the end of your prompt.

For accurate and reliable translations, we recommend using our Content Translator App. Designed with precision in mind, it delivers consistent, high-quality results.
This App is limited to Business plans.
Using Chat
1. While in Chat, highlight/select the Asset you would like translated.
2. Use a prompt such as "Translate into Spanish."

Best Practices for Translating Content
- Be specific with your instructions. For example, mention the dialect you want or clarify if product names shouldn’t be translated.
- If you don’t specify a dialect, the most common one will be used.
- Clearly state whether you’re translating, localizing, or transcreating. This helps ensure the right balance of creativity is applied.
- For straightforward translations in Studio apps, consider setting a lower temperature.
- Whenever possible, provide examples of high-quality translations to guide the process.
- Use clear and direct wording—say “Translate into English” instead of “Rewrite in English” to avoid confusion.
