Start a New Asset
You will need to either start a new Project or be inside an existing Project to create and manage Assets. You can start a new Asset in three main ways:
- Click the + button at the bottom of the Project and select Create Text Document.
- Click the App button at the bottom of the Project and select the App you would like to use. Once you hit Generate, a new Asset will be created.
- Click the Chat button at the bottom of the Project and prompt Jasper to create a piece of content. Once you hit the send arrow, a new Asset will be created.
- TIP: if you do not use strong prompting language such as "write a linkedin post", "create a social media campaign", or "generate ad copy based on [XYZ]" then Jasper might think you are just ideating and keep the response in the Chat. If this happens, you can always hit the document button at the bottom of the output to move it to the Canvas.
Jasper IQ
To ensure continuity in your writing, be sure to select the Brand Voice and Audience you would like your content to be written in. This can be set in your Project Settings and will be applied to all Assets or you can set this individually on separate Assets - this will override the Project Settings.
Similarly, Knowledge can be set in the Project settings to be applied to all generations or Knowledge can be added individually to the Chat and Apps.

Compose
When you click the gray arrow at the end of your sentence (or CMD + J on Mac, CTRL + J on PC), Jasper reads the text you have written before your cursor and does its best to continue writing.
When you do this, Jasper will look for patterns, instructions, and clues based on your previous text to decide what to write next.

Saving a Document and Document History
Your document is automatically saved as you write. You can view the Asset History for the last 7 days, and Restore Assets that have been deleted in the past 30 days.
Toolbar
A quick and easy way to edit your content is to highlight it. From here, you have a few options:
Ask Jasper Anything
- In the text box, write your own prompt to tell Jasper the edits you would like to make.
Improve Writing
- This will rewrite the content. It will change the wording, but the essence of the text will remain the same.
Change Length
- Make shorter
- Make longer
- Summarize
Translate
- Dutch
- English (American)
- English (British)
- French
- German
- Italian
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
Comment
- This allows you to create a note for other users to see. It will lightly highlight the text and create a comment icon to the right.
