Documents provide an endless playground of possibilities when creating content! Let’s walk through the different functions when interacting with a document.
Start a New Document
To start a new document:
- Click the purple "Create content" button in the upper left-hand corner of the dashboard
- Click "New document" (or one of the templates or campaign)
- This will open a new tab with your fresh new document
TIP: If you are having an issue with this, please ensure pop-up blockers are disabled.
Compose
When you click the Compose button (or CMD + J on Mac, CTRL + J on PC), Jasper reads the text you have written before your cursor and does his best to continue writing. Think of it like telling a human writing assistant to keep working while you enjoy a refreshing beverage.
When you do this, Jasper will look for patterns, instructions, and clues based on your previous text to decide what to write next.

- Click on "Select a Voice" in the top right-hand corner of the document
- Select the voice
- Click "Select"
