The Research Agent is a Jasper agent that helps you gather, analyze, and organize information quickly. Whether you're building a competitive brief, researching a new market, or pulling together background for a campaign, the Research Agent does the heavy lifting — so you can focus on what to do with the insights.
The Research Agent is available to all Business plan customers.
What's New
Based on your feedback, the Research Agent has been significantly improved:
- More accurate outputs — The agent now provides higher factual accuracy, reducing the need to double-check every claim.
- Working source links — Sources cited in the agent's output now link correctly, so you can follow up on references with confidence.
- Flexible report formats — Reports are no longer locked into a rigid structure. The agent adapts its format to match the nature of your research request.
- Deeper analysis — The agent performs more thorough analysis, surfacing richer insights. Keep in mind: more thorough analysis takes a bit longer to complete.
How to Get Started
- Navigate to a Chat window in Jasper inside a Canvas project.
- Find and select Research Agent.
- Describe what you want to research — be as specific as possible for the best results.
- Review the output, follow source links to verify claims, and use the content directly or as a foundation for your next piece.
Tips for better results:
- Include context about your audience or goal in your prompt (e.g., "Research the top 5 B2B email marketing trends for a Q3 campaign brief").
- Ask for a specific output format if you have one in mind — the agent will adapt to your request.
- For complex research, break it into focused queries rather than one broad request.
