Overview: What Is Company Memory?
When you create a Jasper workspace, Jasper automatically builds a Company Memory by crawling your publicly available web pages. This memory captures key details about your company and uses them to personalize AI-generated content — including Chat's Next Best Actions and Field Suggestions.
Company Memory helps your content feel more relevant and on-brand right out of the box. However, if your workspace is used to create content for multiple different companies, clients, or brands, the memory from one entity can unintentionally influence content meant for another.
Company Memory Toggle
To give you more control, Jasper now includes a Company Memory toggle in your Workspace Settings. This lets admins turn Company Memory injection on or off for the entire workspace.
- When ON (default): Company Memory is included in AI generations, personalizing Next Best Actions and Field Suggestions based on your company profile.
- When OFF: Company Memory is no longer included in AI generations. This is ideal for workspaces that manage content across multiple companies or brands.
How to Toggle Company Memory
- Click on the workspace name in the top left corner.
- Click on Workspace Settings.
- Find the Company Memory toggle.
- Switch it off to stop Company Memory from being included in AI generations, or on to re-enable it.
When to Turn Off Company Memory
Consider turning off Company Memory if your workspace is used to:
- Create content for multiple different companies or clients
- Manage multiple brands within a single workspace
- Generate content where the default company context isn't relevant
Turning off Company Memory can significantly improve the quality of Next Best Actions and Field Suggestions for these use cases.
Availability
The Company Memory toggle is available to all Business plan customers. Only workspace Admins can change this setting.
