Overview: What Is Jasper IQ?

Jasper IQ is your brand intelligence layer in Jasper. It's where you define your brand's voice, knowledge, audiences, style guide, and visual standards — so that everything Jasper generates is on-brand from the start, without requiring extra prompting every time.

Once set up, Jasper IQ works across Canvas, Grid, and Agents to keep your content consistent and accurate. The more context you give it, the less manual correction you'll need to do downstream.

What's Inside Jasper IQ

Jasper IQ has five components. We recommend setting up all of them, but as a starting point:

  • Set up 1 Brand Voice
  • Set up 2 Audiences
  • Add 5 Knowledge Base items

…then start creating content using Agents with IQ applied to see the difference!

Brand Voice

Brand Voice defines how your brand writes: tone, style, personality, and the specific words or phrases that are on-brand (or off-limits). Once you create a Brand Voice, Jasper applies it automatically to everything you generate.

How to set up Brand Voice

Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base stores the information Jasper should know about your brand — product details, key messaging, FAQs, competitive positioning, and more. Jasper pulls from it when generating content, so your outputs reflect your actual brand rather than generic information.

How to add an asset to the Knowledge Base

Audiences

Audiences let you define who you're writing for. Create audience profiles for different personas, segments, or markets, and Jasper tailors tone and messaging to match each one.

Visual Guidelines

Visual Guidelines capture your brand's visual identity — color palettes, typography, imagery style, and design standards — so your creative briefs and image prompts stay consistent across your team.

Style Guide

Style Guide lets workspace admins define precise rules for how content looks and reads — from comma usage and em-dashes to branded terminology and capitalization. Rules are applied automatically at generation time, so output is consistent from the first draft without extra review cycles.

How to Get Started

  1. Navigate to Jasper IQ in the left sidebar.
  2. Create 1 Brand Voice — this has the broadest impact on output quality and is the best place to start.
  3. Add 2 Audiences — cover the two segments your team writes for most often.
  4. Upload 5 Knowledge Base items — prioritize your most-referenced brand materials: product overviews, messaging guides, FAQs, and similar content.
  5. Add Style Guide and Visual Guidelines as needed once the core setup is in place.

You don't need everything configured at once. Getting that core set in place gives Jasper enough context to produce consistently on-brand content right away.

Availability

Jasper IQ is available on Business plans. Reach out to your account team if you have questions about what's included in your plan.
