Overview
The Jasper x Jira integration lets you export finished content from Jasper’s Canvas or Grid directly into your Jira issues — no manual downloading or uploading required.
Setup Overview
Setup has two parts, handled by different roles:
- A Jasper Admin or Developer enables the integration at the workspace level.
- Each individual user connects their own Jira account.
For Jasper Admins and Developers
- Navigate to Workspace Settings > Team Integrations.
- Find Jira and toggle the integration on.
For All Users
- In Jasper, navigate to Workspace Settings > Integrations.
- Find Jira and toggle it on.
- Authenticate using your Jira account credentials.
- Navigate to Jasper Canvas or Grid and select Export on any document to send it to Jira.
Choose what to export
When you export to Jira, you decide how the content reaches your team. Three options:
- Link to the Jasper doc.
- A link to the document in Jasper is added to the issue’s comments, so reviewers or editors can easily access the file. Great for users who edit directly in Jasper.
- Attached file.
- Adds a file directly to the Jira issue.
- A link to the doc in Jasper is also added to the issue’s comments.
- Save to cloud storage.
- The content is saved to your connected cloud storage such as Google Drive, SharePoint, or Box, with a link added to the issue as a comment, plus a link to the Jasper doc for easy retrieval. Good for teams that keep final assets in a central library.
- Keeping every export in the same place — like a shared SharePoint library — pulls scattered reviews back into one spot and keeps the link between the Jira issue and the source document intact.
Availability
The Jira integration is available for eligible Jasper workspaces. A Jasper Admin or Developer role is required for workspace setup. Once your workspace is configured, all users can connect their individual accounts.
