Overview: What Is the Google Drive Integration?
The Jasper x Google Drive integration lets you connect your Google Drive account to Jasper for content export and Knowledge Base sync. With this integration, you can access your full Google Drive — including shared team drives and files others have shared with you — directly from within Jasper.
What You Can Access
When you connect Google Drive to Jasper, you can navigate three types of folders:
- My Drive — your personal Google Drive files and folders
- Shared with me — files and folders that other people have shared directly with you
- Shared drives — team drives shared across your organization (formerly known as Team Drives)
This gives your team a clean way to access the content repositories they already use for collaboration, without switching between tools.
Setting Up the Google Drive Integration
Setup has two parts, handled by different roles:
- A Jasper Admin or Developer enables the integration at the workspace level.
- Each individual user connects their own Google account.
For Jasper Admins and Developers
- Navigate to Workspace Settings > Team Integrations.
- Find Google Drive and toggle the integration on.
For All Users
- In Jasper, navigate to Workspace Settings > Integrations.
- Find Google Drive and toggle it on.
- Authenticate using your Google account credentials.
Exporting Content to Google Drive
Once connected, you can export content from Jasper Canvas or Grid directly to any Google Drive folder — including Shared drives and Shared with me folders.
- Open a document in Canvas or Grid.
- Click Export.
- Select Google Drive as the destination.
- Navigate to the folder you want — use the My Drive, Shared with me, or Shared drives tabs to find the right location.
- Select the folder and confirm.
Using Google Drive with the Knowledge Base
You can sync folders from Google Drive into your Jasper Knowledge Base to keep your brand context up to date. Shared drives and Shared with me folders are now accessible for Knowledge Base sync alongside your personal My Drive.
To connect a Google Drive folder to your Knowledge Base:
- Navigate to Jasper IQ > Knowledge.
- Click Add Knowledge and select Google Drive.
- Browse to the folder you want to sync — including Shared drives or Shared with me folders.
- Select the folder and confirm the sync.
Availability
The Google Drive integration is available for Business plan customers. A Jasper Admin or Developer role is required for workspace setup. All users can connect their individual accounts once the workspace is configured.
